Patriots’ Outpost
During the Farmers Insurance Open, members of the military got the appreciation they deserve at the Patriots’ Outpost, a VIP pavilion sponsored by the George & Betty Harbaugh Foundation. Deployed at the 13th hole, the Patriots’ Outpost accommodated nearly 2,500 visitors during the four-day tournament at Torrey Pines. “George Harbaugh was an Air Force pilot and he loved golf,” says Joe Balla, director of the Solana Beach-based Harbaugh Foundation. “It was great to honor him by bringing the military and golfers together.”
