Rock The Cure 2017
The tenth and final concert benefiting type 1 diabetes research took place at the La Jolla Farms home of Steve and Lisa Altman. Over the last decade, the annual event, chaired by Lisa Altman, Stacey Valencia, and Dana Kiffman, has raised more than $7 million and has featured top tier talent including Pat Benatar, Hall & Oates, Heart, Foreigner, Steve Miller Band, and many more. This year’s fundraiser featured two bands, The Doobie Brothers and The Struts, along with a stellar lineup of local restuarants including Herb & Wood, Pamplemousse, Café Japengo, Veladora, and Nine-Ten. Rock the Cure went out with a bang — fireworks over the water!
