SEAL Family Foundation Golf Tournament & Gala 2017
Madeleine Pickens and Dominique Plewes of the Del Mar Country Club hosted a golf tournament, reception, dinner, and silent and live auctions to benefit Navy SEAL families. The dinner gala featured keynote speaker Captain Richard Phillips, who was dramatically rescued from the clutches of Somali Pirates by Navy SEALs in 2009, and guest speaker Tomi Lahren, a conservative Internet talk show host. Honored guests were Medal of Honor Recipients Senior Chief Special Warfare Operator Edward Beyers and Mike Thornton, retired United States Navy SEAL. The event raised $1 million.
