SoCal’s Largest Astronomy Exposition

Amateur and professional astronomers as well as camera enthusiasts will come together at Oceanside Photo and Telescope from 10am-6pm for its 12th annual Southern California Astronomy Exposition. The free, family-friendly event features interactive demonstrations of telescopes and cameras conducted by astro-imagers and astronomy experts from Canon USA, Celestron, Meade Instruments, TeleVue, Explore Scientific, and more. Visitors can also peek at the sun through filtered telescopes. In addition, opportunity prizes and giveaways of astronomy and camera equipment totaling more than $35,000 will be awarded throughout the day. Proceeds from opportunity ticket sales will benefit the Astronomical Society of the Pacific, a nonprofit organization based in San Francisco devoted to advancing science literacy through astronomy. 800.483.6287, optscae.com
