Boho Chic
Rebecca Taylor’s spring line pays homage to the bohemian lifestyle of the Bloomsbury group, a circle of writers, artists, and intellectuals who rebelled against traditional Victorian society in the early 20th century. The collection has a “liberated Victorian theme,” featuring silhouettes that are slimmer and more streamlined, floral prints mixed in unusual ways, patchwork, and embroidery. The results are feminine and pretty: tapestry garden ruffle dresses, crocheted lace, off-the-shoulder tops, and shrunken bomber jackets. Taylor was inspired by A Room of Their Own: The Bloomsbury Artists in American Collections, edited by Nancy E. Green and Christopher Reed. rebeccataylor.com
